Blood Bank Of Delmarva Receives $450,000 Social Impact Grant To Increase Millennial Blood Donations
The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF), Discover Bank, and the Longwood Foundation have awarded a $450,000 social impact grant to Blood Bank of Delmarva (Blood Bank), through the DCF Social Impact Fund, for a project to increase the number of millennials donating blood. For the new project, the Blood Bank hopes to secure 500 units of blood from millennial donors (those aged 17 to 24 years) during the three years following the program's January 1, 2019 start date.
